The numerator: patients with a multidisciplinary tumor board treatment plan (see specifications for full definition) developed in the 12-month measurement period

The denominator: all patients diagnosed in the measurement period with a new diagnosis of primary brain or spine Central Nervous System (CNS) WHO grade II-IV tumor.

There are no exclusions for this measure.

Measure Calculation Example

Dr. Zhang has 125 patients between January 1 and December 31 that were newly diagnosed with a primary brain or spine CNS WHO grade II-IV tumor. This is the denominator. 

Of the 125 patients, 87 had a multidisciplinary tumor board treatment plan developed. This is the numerator.

Quality of patient care = 87/125. Dr. Zhang has a score of 69.6% for this measure.
