AAN Patient Safety Education Program

PatientSafetyEducation.pngThe AAN Patient Safety Education Program provides information on how to identify potential patient safety risks and apply the strategies and methods to mitigate these risks and improve patient safety in your practice.

The AAN Patient Safety Education Program is designed to help AAN members address the ABPN’s recently implemented, onetime requirement of diplomates to complete an approved patient safety course within three years prior to their board certification/recertification, or in their first C-Continuing Certification (CC) block. The ABPN requirement was implemented in 2016.

The AAN Patient Safety Education Program offers:

  • Multimedia presentations with references and resources
  • Designed by neurologists for neurologists to keep you up to date on clinical and practice topics
  • Course is mobile-friendly; take on your own schedule or at your own pace
  • Earn up to 4 SA-CME credits

For many of us, this was not a part of our medical and neurology training, and it is essential for us to practice safe and high quality care.

Accreditation

The American Academy of Neurology Institute (AANI), a subsidiary of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

AMA Credit Designation

The American Academy of Neurology Institute (AANI) designates this enduring materials for a maximum of 4 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

NeuroLearn Archives

The Academy is retiring NeuroLearn courses in favor of new and exciting learning opportunities for members. The following NeuroLearn courses remain available for use and reference for free and do not offer CME:
