Research Program

The AAN is committed to supporting all types of research across all career levels and discovery stages. Research is not only critical to the future of neurology but also in dire need of funding. Federal support for neurological research has remained flat and competition for funds from the National Institute of Health has intensified. Recognizing this vital need for research, the AAN has launched an ambitious research program, furthering our commitment to making a profound difference in the lives of researchers and patients. But we can’t do it alone—which is why partnerships with industry who share the same visions and goals are essential to the AAN Research Program.
